Agustina Jorquera
M.Ed.
Registered Psychotherapist
Agustina is a psychotherapist with graduate training (Master's degree from the University of Toronto) and is a current doctoral candidate (University of Toronto) in the area of counselling psychology and psychotherapy. Her clinical path has included hospital and outpatient settings, where she has done assessment work, individual psychotherapy, and group-based treatment—including intensive inpatient programs focused on addictions and PTSD for military and first responders where she learnt how to implement structured approaches such as CBT to treat trauma and DBT for disorders of emotion regulation.
At the center of her practice is depth therapy. Agustina is drawn to psychodynamic and existential traditions—the kind of therapy that treats symptoms as meaningful signals, and that makes room for questions of identity, responsibility, relationship, and the search for a life that feels more coherent and inhabited. She is especially attuned to the quieter forms of suffering that don't always present as loud "crisis," but that steadily erode vitality over time, and she works with clients who want more than quick fixes: people who want to understand themselves, their patterns, and what keeps repeating whether it's in their choice of relationships, and other life decisions.
Clients often experience her as grounded, direct, and thoughtful—someone who can hold complexity without over-intellectualizing, and who takes the therapeutic relationship seriously as the condition for real change.
