Burnout doesn’t always look like collapse. Often, it looks like performance. Showing up for work, parenting, caring — but feeling stuck inside. If you’re functioning on the outside but the inside feels neglected, this is what high-functioning burnout feels like.
I work with clients across Ontario who find themselves emotionally muted, spiritually detached, and fatigued by lives that want to feel meaningful. Many have tried therapy before — and while it helped temporarily, the same patterns returned. When that happens, it’s not your fault. You’ve likely outgrown surface-level strategies.
- Why Most Burnout Interventions Fail
Many approaches to burnout focus on external changes: better sleep, saying no, more balance or strategies that aim to improve your coping, how you react. While these matter, they often ignore or don’t do enough work with the systemic roots of your situation — a life that’s misaligned with what truly matters to you, a sense of having lost the step or the way. Burnout isn’t just a productivity problem. It’s a crisis of meaning and spirituality.

This isn’t about helping you return to your old functional self. What I propose to you is helping you discover a self that can live differently. A self that no longer performs but participates in life and in relationships, a self that you experience as transformed. This is what I propose:
- Sessions are grounded in cognitive science, depth psychology, and relational work.
- We explore not just your symptoms, but the system that created them.
- You are invited to participate as an agent and not a “patient”.
- You want to build a therapeutic relationship that feels safe to open up.
- You’re not expected to have clarity — only readiness and commitment to change.
