My Approach to Helping You Navigate Life's Challenges
What Therapy Looks Like with Me
Let’s face it — life has a way of throwing curveballs. Whether it’s low mood, anxious spirals, or relational strain, therapy can offer a pause, a reset, and a new way forward. Here’s what our journey together might look like:
- 1 - Getting to Know You (Clinical Assessment):
We begin by understanding your situation in depth. If there’s a diagnosable condition present, I’ll explain it clearly and compassionately. You won’t be left in the dark — we’ll name what’s happening and begin to map a way forward.
- 2 - Let’s Talk Strategy (Psychoeducation)
Understanding your internal world is part of healing. I’ll walk you through how your mind, body, and emotions may be working together (or against each other). We may use tools, role-play, or communication skill-building. The point is not just to cope — it’s to move with clarity and agency.
- 3 - Dive Deep (Exploration):
We’ll investigate patterns, emotions, and narratives that shape your experience. I may ask challenging questions or notice themes you haven’t seen yet. If something doesn’t sit right — say so. Feedback sharpens the process. You’ll also have reflective tasks (light and focused) to carry the work between sessions.
- 4 - Building Your Toolbox (Intervention & Integration)
Some sessions may focus on short-term symptom management — like CBT or DBT-based techniques. Others will move deeper: exploring how past experiences shape your present worldview. Together, we’ll choose the rhythm that fits — whether it’s practical, reflective, or both.
In Summary
My role is not to fix you — it’s to walk with you, reflect patterns you may not yet see, and offer pathways for change.
I may challenge your assumptions, but always from a place of respect and care. When discomfort arises, we stay with it. Often, the growth lives right on the other side.
