🧭 Principles That Guide My Work

1. The Human Foundation

At its core, therapy is simply two people coming together. I’ve just spent a lot more time diving deep, studying, and understanding the world of emotions and healing.

When you see my credentials, know they come from:

a) Years of rigorous academic work and research.
b) The trust and guidance of mentors and peers who’ve walked alongside me.
c) My own personal journey of healing and understanding.

We all know that gut-wrenching feeling of shame, the weight of guilt, or the cloud of inadequacy. If you’ve felt it — with others or within yourself — I get it.

2. The Healing Relationship

Our relationship isn’t just about using therapeutic techniques; our connection becomes the most powerful tool in the journey.

I lean heavily into understanding relationships — not just yours with others, but also what happens between us in the room.

I have the tools to diagnose, but I won’t reduce you to a category. You’re not a label. You’re a whole person with a story that matters.

I’m not loyal to any one theory or model. The most transformative element is not the method — it’s who I am in the room with you.

3. Growth Is Shared

My practice isn’t just about helping clients. This space is where I continue to grow — emotionally, intellectually, and relationally.

Every session is a shared opportunity for insight. I learn from you just as you may grow through our work together.

I reflect deeply on our process and often ask:

  • What has life thrown at you?
  • What’s happening in your world right now?
  • How do these dynamics shape what unfolds between us?
  • Where are we headed together?

4. Respect for the Journey

It takes courage to face your inner world. That means:
  • Being radically honest with yourself
  • Staying when it’s hard
  • Owning your part in the story
  • Committing to the process of healing

Healing doesn’t follow a formula. There’s no magic number of sessions. No singular path. We find our way together.

Therapy isn’t just about reducing pain. It’s about understanding yourself more fully — especially in the context of your relationships.
